Fairy, football and mountains: a woodland-fairy marriage

It is difficult for me to fully describe Andrei’s marriage to Andra, my bride and beautiful brides, with a good soul, with true friends, with loving parents and with love for the mountains, sports and competition. I had a wonderful weekend in their company and, even though I was at work and didn’t forget for a second why I’m there and what I had to do for them, they all passed so easily, with so much good humor and without any problems getting in our way.

A rainy weekend was promised in Padina and surrounding areas. Not even a splash bothered us on the perfect day of July 12, 2014. And I had time to take care of all the details – in fact, almost all the details – even if the to-do list was a bit impossible and I couldn’t give up anything, in the very likely case I didn’t have time for everything. Andra and Andrei knew how much I expected a high tone, but I didn’t know that all their guests were wonderful people, truly happy to be part of the two’s wedding.

Since these are two former athletes, current teachers and coaches, but also since the wedding took place on the weekend of the World Cup, I could say that this was Sports wedding. If we took the two balloons that decorated the wedding cake as a reference, it would be right. If we looked at the copacel with fingerprints they would be the wedding of the hedgehogs. If we look at the photos with the bride and the details of the decor, we could say yes Fairytale wedding… Well, they were all that and Much more!

But let’s start from the beginning.

Andra contacted me a few months ago. I think it was the end of February. After some discussions via email, he announced that he wants to help her with the organization, because they are leaving Romania. Well, once done, we started the work, we met via Skype, we received all his ideas, which were wonderful and beautiful. He told me about the place chosen for the wedding- Hotel Caveabout the photographer – Eduard Ionescuabout DJ (Alex), about the dress Divine Atelier And many, many more.

I proposed them as a central idea to decorate something in style fairy of the woods. From now until marriage, we have given up on some things, changed our minds, and kept the idea only in our (collective) consciousness, without worrying too much about whether we will choose to adapt or not. Somehow because Andra came with us permanently and brought us new ideas, which was not bad at all, although at first glance I would have been tempted to believe it.

First we got busy Invitations made in-house. They chose a Pocket-Fold model. I made their drawing, printed their internal postcards and sent them just in time to Andrei’s mother, who would pay for the children. This is how they started assembling, cutting and gluing and, surprisingly (at least to me), The invitations were ready on time.

Some exchanges followed Decorating ideasflowers, table faces and colours. But there was nothing great to say, because I I didn’t know the salon. To see it I had to wait for the rain to stop. Without going into too much detail, it actually rained this year. I watched the weather for three weeks, looking for a patch of clear sky over Sinaia and the surrounding area, to make sure I could safely get to the hotel. I went up, finally, on a partially clear day, saw the very beautiful restaurant and potentially, noticed the details, went home and began to flourish about the decoration.

Since the road is not exactly easy, I understood that the people I will take there will have to approach from Târgoviște, Sinaia or surroundings. appreciate this project as much as I did. Since I wasn’t lucky with the first option, I opted for the second.

The faces of the tables and the white chairs, the green towels and some decorative objects were delivered to us by Maison Dadoo. The flowers were made by very talented people Raluca Balintand their transportation took care of their transportation. The rest of the decoration was in my hands and I am very proud of everything I did, because I had freedom from Andrei and I played as I knew best with all the ideas I received from it.

I arrived on Friday, when I left for the hotel with Emotions like home and with an almost paralyzing fear of the road. The road was ok and we arrived well, greeted by Melissa – aka. bridesmaid – And Jana, the loudest godfather! We all got to work and cut the jute fabric for the meals, opened the paper tree, hung it in various ways in the lounge and for Photocorner. Thank you so much, girls, for all the help I received and for being there with me. It excites me to know that I have such loved customers!

One after another, on Saturday everything was ready, Raluca personally came to place the flowers, the people at home helped me with everything they could and everyone was delighted with the transformation of the small restaurant. The brides saw their program, I organized and before we knew it, the party began, but not in any way, but with a dance that their friends have preparedat the end of which the bride appeared. The opening dance, immediately linked to the first dance, moved me terribly and I actually had to hide for a few seconds, because they made me cry.

I have to say something else. The friends dance was practiced for an hour – only an hour! – Friday evening. And it turned out great. I think it is credit to the coach of Andrei, who was with them and created chaos, harmony 😉

The interventions followed one another throughout the program. First of all, Andrei thanked everyone for their presence and reminded them that smoking was not allowed in the room, maintaining the sporting spirit of the two brides. Followed up the exciting and very American style of the bridesmaidfollowed by a few words from the knight and then everyone served champagne. Yes, the one that usually clashes with the guests, as if it were an extraordinary party and ceremony for everyone to look forward to, with a glass in which the champagne has long since run out.

They also had folk music dancers – Ciocârlia Ensemble – because it was nice to show foreigners a folk dance and let them all enjoy an authentic tradition.

The cake was made and assembled on site Sweet Corner by Georgiana Irimia And it was delicious. I don’t eat cake and I don’t seek out sweets. But it was something divine. He also brought other treats, which the guests really enjoyed.

Ah, I should have forgotten that. The cake went out the door last night at twelve o’clock. Without crying anyone and without letting people panic. And not only did I take it off, I served it. And then, absolutely «scandalous», the steak followed ;)) and the party ended after four hours, once while I was already sleeping. Now, seriously speaking, that seemed like the smartest thing to me. And I encouraged her as much as I could. No, gentlemen, people didn’t run away Immediately after the cake, while the urban stories circulate, towards the houses (rooms, in this case). They remained there after desire, now after power, until they got rid of everything!

Finally, I want to share some of you details that the two have prepared for their guests. I had no merit, there were all their ideas, but I enjoyed them successfully, so I’m telling you too, maybe you will learn how beautiful it is to treat your invitations and How much do you earn when you know how to respect the people around you.

My brides took care of the testimonials themselves, which they packaged and stamped personally, but also the most beautiful menus that I have seen, table numbers and small gifts for the dearest people.

Lots of attention to things that really matterI was not allowed to see it. I had a part of it my ideal bridesand I say this without making any comparison with other couples. There are people anyone would love to work with. Special people, you know, with whom you immediately connected and with whom I will inevitably remain in my soul.
