Choose the menu according to your budget!

Choosing the menu for your event is one of the decisive factors for the party to be a success, for this reason various aspects must be taken into account when choosing the menu.

Food and drinks play a very important role in every party, be it a wedding or a baptism.

Wedding menus generally consist of snacks, fish, sarmale, mixed grill, dessert (cake) and drink. When choosing your menu, usually any venue/restaurant will have a standard option that can be modified based on customer preferences.

In general, most customers opt for a traditional menu for convenience or for fear of not making mistakes, assuming that a traditional menu thanks any guest. Wrong!!!!

Each event has its own particularities, guests from different social classes and the menu must be carefully chosen based on the type of guests present at the event.

If the average age of the guests at the event tends towards the middle age, the more sophisticated menu variations, which contain international cuisine preparations, should be avoided.

In the situation where the guests are young you can easily opt for a more special menu, I assure you that you will not make a wrong decision.

However, combinations between the types of menus of multiple categories should be avoided. If you opted for tradition it would be good for the entire menu to be structured in this way. For example, you cannot combine fat pastry with muscle file or cheese with ham.

How much does it cost?

It is best to combine certain particular preparations with others of the same category.

Generally, in most wedding locations in the Ballroom category, the price of all-inclusive menus on Saturdays varies between 70 and 90 euros. Pay close attention to this aspect, normally the cost of the orchestra/DJ and photo-video services should be included in the final price of the menu with the All Inclusive menu.

When it comes to seasonal Saturdays, brides who have a smaller number of guests will clearly be at a disadvantage, because apart from the price of the menu, which is fixed, the rest of the expenses are divided by the number of guests present at the event.

For example, for a Saturday wedding with 100 guests, at the price of the menu 80 euros, the band’s fee would be on average 2,000 euros, then photo-video approx. 800-1,000 euros.

Adding the cost of the orchestra with photo-video results in a total of 3,000 euros which you will divide with a number of 100 guests and you will have an additional cost of 30 euros in addition to the 80 euros representing the cost of the menu.

As the number of guests increases, the price of the menu decreases (3,000 euros: 300 people = 10 euros). In such situations, with a smaller number of guests, it is advisable to consider a Sunday for the event

Yours because you will benefit from discounts both from the restaurant and from the musical or photo-video band.

Relationship

With an average price of 59 euros for Sunday and a price of 1,500 euros for music and 600 euros for photo-video you get a final price of 80 euros with all expenses included.

Please note that the final price of the menu will not exceed 100 euros in order to easily cover all the expenses of the event.

Another important aspect when choosing the menu would be to ask for all the costs, we have met locations that have a price on the food, to which are added costs for the open bar, alcoholic open bar, welcome package, room setup etc… all these costs must be added to calculate the final price of the menu.

Another thorny problem is that of waiters’ salaries. This tax is always charged, the only difference is that some locations inform customers of the existence of this tax and others do not.

Some locations resort to less honest methods, putting the customer in front of the fact that at the end of the event he imposes a certain amount with which he should «honour» the celebrations, this amount in fact represents the compensation that should have been communicated since the signing of the contract.
