We were in 2007 when we woke up, a handful of people, which are not many of us, after 3 years of organized graduation parties, that we should have increased the events organised. I had just had my wedding, so…. I searched for everything there could be on the Internet here, but also on external sites. I don’t know how it was done, but at that moment, abroad, it looked like us. Everything was much more relaxed, they had the wedding in the meadows or in the orchard behind the house, they enjoyed everything and everyone and the flowers were different.
I had this idea in my head, with the smiles of the people who couldn’t have done the same?
And I took them in pieces: even in the meadow it is not possible that it could rain, but we could take a tent and open some. Then, if we take those beautiful chairs, the atmosphere is even lighter, that we don’t have to dress them. If we decorated it with such simplicity we could transform it into every wedding according to everyone’s liking, to find a particle of it there on the big day. And colac above the pupaza, if we do calumea planning, as we have done for 3 years, we should bring that joy to people’s girls.
Like any new beginning, the tendency was not to rush. I knew what we wanted the tent to look like, I knew we wanted the chairs, we had suppliers for everyone, just the land which I didn’t have. I had visited all the meadows and lakes near Bucharest (the tico-lin I walked with amazed me), I had spoken to several mayors and… nothing.
During this period I met Voichita (a friend of a friend) who in the meantime had known what we wanted to do. Plus everything was fine, the common visions, especially the chairs, the chairs mattered a lot, good chemistry, but as I said I had no land!
To give you more details, Voichita (or Voichi, as we said) is a person you rarely meet. I cheer continuously, with a natural and incurable optimism and who knows that there is always a solution, he couldn’t accept a «I can’t!» We tried to tell him that it doesn’t work, that we don’t have it, that it can’t be done, but in vain :):
Voichi: «June 7th!»
Me: «Voichi again, until we have the land, I don’t know… I can promise you anything»
Voichi: «June 7th» 🙂
Me: «If I don’t sign a contract on land, I can’t sign with you»
Voichi: «That’s not the problem, note June 7th :)»
And look, I got a fever, not something else, but we’re not getting rid of «June 7th»
The story continues with a rainy day in February, with a lot of mud, in which I had to see the land we are today. I was in the village walking among all kinds of colcurus, and that one at that moment didn’t look like anything different, and it was worse… one, two trees and lots of corn. And while I looked like this, in the surrounding area, demoralized, it occurred to me to put mud on my feet and climb the hill. When I look at the lake, it seems like… the porch isn’t that bad! We could put the tent here, two trees there, look at the pier, come up the stairs… it ties in!
As if my heart had returned to my chest.
I signed the contract on the field, I understood that in 3 months we had to do everything. And look, the fun continued with tasks of all kinds, totally unknown to me:
- The Lord with the translations said it can’t be up there, that we have to cut the hill. I did like Voichi, you can!
- The rains didn’t stop and I couldn’t materialize.
- Wait to increase the cement by 3 times as it was, it was the economic boom.
- I couldn’t find Buzau’s net anymore, I had no idea what it was, but look at that man.
- I put the lawn and it didn’t give any drops of rain and many others.

In all of this there were two key moments in which Voichi played a fundamental role.
In the first moment of tension, when I cut the hill, Voichi came to see the earth, that is, a pile of mud, what it was. And look at my Voichi, the absolutely wonderful optimist, who says «how beautiful!»
The lake on the field I do weddings
The second moment, Thursday, before the wedding. Voichi arrives at the tent to repeat the descent to the pier for the wedding. With my mother, my father, my uncle, the current future husband. Plus, there were a lot of bad ones! We only had two tents put up. You will realize the panic people had towards girls. Just voich smiling «I’ll finish, shut up! :)» I remember, as if it were yesterday, the moment when Mihai (the bride) pulled me and asked me so, easily, that I couldn’t hear him: «Simo, do you really think you’re finished?» Not many people believed it, but I was ahead of them. And I was really sure that everything was ready.

First I do weddings
With us, a gang of people, all unwanted (because no one had slept more than 2 hours in the last week), with mothers, fathers, spouses, all coming to help us at the last break!
And as Voichi went down on his father’s arm, we were made of chicken skin and some of us (not just girls) had tears in our eyes.
Then I realized that it was 2 27 year old girls who had coordinated everything (and not only that, I also did the digging :)), without any construction sheet, Buzau nets or installations. I didn’t know anything, but I learned.
And most importantly, the Lord God had helped us with a gang of children (so I say, my children) all smaller than us, but absolutely wonderful, who worked side by side with us day and night, parallel to 100 graduation celebrations. And I thank them from the bottom of my heart for what they did!
In that moment I understood that it was worth it, that all the emotion that brides experience and that we are fighting for, is really worth it! I knew that if we could help Voichita and Mihai smile from then on, there would be no reason to be able to do so in the future.
The first wedding I do Weddings: Voichi and Mihai
And look, this is how marriages were born. With two brides in the logo, because in our opinion it’s about that day. You can only experience the emotion then.
This is us. We shake our heads and concentrate just so that you can hear everything, as it should.
PS: With all Voichite’s passion for chiavari chairs, they got stuck in port on Saturday. We had to rent. He wasn’t upset, because in the meantime he was born twice!
