From an early age you dreamed of the wedding dress and imagined what it would look like down to the smallest details, and when we say «wedding dress», we automatically move on to a white dress, with a majestic train with a transparent veil.
But the wedding dress wasn’t always milky white, as most models are today.
There is even an old poem according to which the choice of color of the wedding dress influences the future.

«Marry white and you will make the best choices,
Marry in gray and you’ll leave,
Marry in blue and you will always be honest,
Spread out in the shadow of the pearl and you will live stormy,
Increase in pink and your spirit will sink into the abyss. «

When and how? How long in advance should we start looking for our wedding dress?

The first problem commonly encountered by every future bride is related to purchasing the dress: when? And how?
In principle, what occupies a good part of the time is the search for the dress and above all the moment in which the overall feeling floods our soul because this is the long-awaited dress. Ideally, you should start your research about 6 months before the big event. It should be borne in mind that delivery can take 2 to 4 months, this is because it works according to the measurements of each bride, and this requires a lot of work, attention and dedication on the part of the fashion house or stylist.

Try as many patterns as you like, don’t limit yourself

Another common thing is that more than 80% of brides-to-be looking for a dress leave with something totally different than what they had in mind. It’s fine to have photos of the dress models you like, but if you want to find a model that fits you like a glove you need to try on multiple styles to check all the possibilities and not regret after placing an order.

The correct price of the wedding dress

Another aspect worth discussing is the fact that there is no such thing as a beautiful and cheap dress. Initially a cheap dress may look wonderful on the mannequin in the shop window, without looking at the details that make the difference, but the quality will be seen as soon as the dress is brought to light, and one of the reasons why the dress has a high price is not the cut, but the material, lace and beads sewn by hand.

Dress the dress two weeks before the wedding and arrange the final details. This way we know for sure that we will avoid «surprises» like «it’s wide» or «gather me» on the morning of the wedding. Two weeks before the wedding no changes in your figure can occur, so this is the perfect time.

Do we buy an existing model or a cream from scratch?

If you have a more artistic nature and want the dress to be the product of your ideas, very good, it looks great. However, you need to make sure that you have chosen the right tailor. Sometimes the budget may seem interesting, but it happens that the initial calculations do not correspond to the final ones. And here you have to be careful.

And when we say the right tailor, we must consider the following:

• Search for lace and order. Here we must take into account the time needed to purchase the material and its delivery.
• taking measurements. Measurements should never be precise, because we don’t know how our weight fluctuates at that moment. A reserve of material must always exist.
• Create the model and match all the materials, the folds (if the dress is princess style) of the pleated tulle, the pebbles and more.
• the budget. At the same time, the budget part is not better, because while you are looking for a certain material and only need a few meters, the price will be higher.

We advise every bride-to-be who crosses the threshold to take the time to purchase the dress and accessories that will help highlight every detail. The emotions related to the dress and its appearance are the last ones you would want to experience in the week before the wedding.
