Plus, there’s a chance that your wedding date will overlap with another event, so you’ll have to make someone in your family unhappy (or do without a coordinator, with realistic expectations or unjustified stress).

But I’ve also heard from people who (after the wedding, unfortunately), told me that if they could give back time and change one thing about their marriage, they would hire someone to take care of everything that happens there, in their long and restless day. A day that passes faster than you think, which is more tiring than you expect and which you should take advantage of as much as possible. For this you need a dedicated person, who has done this, who takes responsibility for any inconvenience and who can give you time. For photos with your loved ones, for a photo shoot lasting at least an hour, to not linger in church, to enjoy a cocktail with your husband, while the guests find seats at the tables, to tell you, until you see from the plane, how happy you are and how you would like the night to last.
