How many expectations have come true?
The difficult question, in the sense that the expectations we have are constantly changing, depending on the new information we absorb. Looking at the beginning I would say that I have already exceeded most of our expectations and still have new ones.
What were the biggest challenges and what did you learn behind it?
New challenges arise every season, every time you have to be better with each new couple you work with to offer something more. I think over the years I’ve picked up a collection of challenges and learnings that make me realize you have something new to explore. What I can concretely say is that I have learned to communicate better with customers. It seems like little but when you work in this field it means a lot to both parties.
What has been the greatest achievement in all these years?
On a personal level, the greatest impact has the way I look at events, now I realize that every difficult situation has the way of teaching us something good.
I like to believe that every event brought to the end is an achievement in itself, but being an area where communication and management skills are appreciated, I can say that I was happy when I had the chance to organize multiple events at the same time, Becau and Like a Challenge.
What are the funniest questions you have received during meetings with brides?
Some of the funniest questions were about the lake:
“Can we take a swim in the lake this morning?” Or «Can we take the boat on the lake?», but among the funniest was a question asked by a future groom: «Can I give away my rods and come fishing?». I will give the seed that was the bride’s reaction :))
What did you feel at your first marriage and what do you know about these people?
Oh! It seems like a long time has passed since then, coincidentally the groom of the first couple I worked with from head to toe is one of our main suppliers. Even if it seems easier to work with people close to you, Wrong! :)) The stress seems double, the emotions much larger, and the responsibility, although the same, weighs on 5 extra kilograms. Where else to put my colleagues (Simona and Liana) were among the guests.
I had emotions and really wanted everything to be perfect. I was happy with them and I had a beautiful team that helped me all the way.
What has been the nastrusniest/complicated/funniest wedding theme since you joined the team? How do you choose the theme?
I really like couples when they want a complicated or more common theme because it is also provocative to find atypical ideas or solutions. Which is fair enough that during the season it is difficult to organize because the volume of work is very large, but as long as you have a well-developed plan it is easier.
What do you do when the schedule runs through your head and you wake up with no Harry Potter-type arrangements for guest tables before the event?
You blow your sleeves and make them, taking advantage of everything that can come from logistics. It was complicated, but also fun now that I think about it.
The wedding theme is not a mandatory aspect and we do not choose it. We discuss with the brides from the beginning of the meetings and together we build the concept of the event, using elements that are definitive for them.
Do you have a favorite wedding or can you tell us which event gave you the most emotions?
It’s very difficult to choose because I’ve worked with so many different couples. Apart from that, I have emotions before every event, if I didn’t have them it would seem worrying :))
I admit that some weddings are closer to Corason because some brides are allowed to approach them, but it’s hard for me to put my finger and say «they» because in general I like people and the way you can discover them.
How many weddings have you organized since you joined the team?
I also recently counted because I was curious: between the 2015 and 2018 seasons I reached 48 weddings, and in 2019 I exceeded the threshold of 50 🙂
What actions have you taken to increase business year after year?
I think we have a tendency to evolve, I’m just happy that this aspect is valued in our team.
Most of the time clients or even friends ask us what we do during the off season. This too: let’s think about new ways to improve services but above all, I think, ourselves. What I have always appreciated about my colleagues is that I did not place barriers when I wanted to bring something new to the company, the initiative was seen in a productive way
The most concrete example that comes to mind is the moment when I obtained the Floral Designer diploma and decided to do two jobs at the same time: Wedding Planner for IDO and Florist.
How many brides will you collaborate with in 2019?
This question is very funny because, girls know, I am horrified by the number 13.
Coincidentally, last season I had 13 couples that I worked with and next season the same, but I will choose to say that I currently work with 13 couples 🙂
