How did Aphrodite’s photoshoot go?

I haven’t organized weddings for many years, so the presence of the photographer next to me is the most natural thing possible. However, I rarely manage to go to the front door without panicking and I prefer to see my work rather than remain «posed». I knew it was that moment, which I have been putting off for the last few years. Because it is not time, which does not have much meaning, which is better to deal with daily commitments and the «most important» things. Excuses that were repeated, at the beginning or end of the season, when I thought about them.

However, the meeting with Aphrodite It wasn’t just for personal branding. I’ve found an idea I resonate with, otherwise I’d probably and now add to the list of reasons to avoid the pose.

Aphrodite – Beauty photography is the project of Oana Munteanu, with whom I worked extraordinarily beautifully on the wedding of Iani and Alexandra, and of Irina Căjvăneanuwhich is very good to know if you want gorgeous bridal makeup.

The two Aphrodites (how else?) intended to help women rediscover their beauty. And it’s not about the internal one, which we all have, but about our image, sometimes neglected, sometimes forced into too narrow canons. A combination of what is most beautiful in you and what they can bring to light. Plus, everything is «done» in a welcoming space. Oana created her studio in the kitchen of her home, where she benefits from natural light and where you can’t feel at home.

When I discovered the idea for Oana, I suddenly got excited. I realized that I wouldn’t be able to say step and that I would reach his hand (or rather in front of his device), one way or another. After some rescheduling, due entirely to the fault of yours truly and her Mega-Soup-Pel-de-Hunings program, on Monday I accepted, received the details and began to plan my expectations, what should I do? 😛

I had great emotions the evening before the meeting, I thought about and changed the outfits and created a small scenario, anticipating how things will unfold. Once I sat in the chair, for the preparations, all the ideas, all the expectations disappeared and I started to enjoy the moment.

I have overcome my moderation, especially because Irina and Oana are two fun guys, with whom I would stay in stories, without getting bored. But also because, as I was telling you, the study is not a study, it is a kitchen flooded with light, without light bulbs. It’s the kitchen where you can drink your coffee in peace, without realizing that you came there to do something outside your comfort zone. You can’t think it’s anything other than pleasant!

Even though I saw my makeup and hairstyle and left the girls with smiles in their ears, the real surprise came when I saw the photos. I look at them and think they would be very cute as a magazine cover, forgive my superficiality! No, I’m proud of what came out… it’s definitely my best version!

In Romania, the idea of ​​going to the photographer has therefore been lost only for a portrait or a photo with the family. This is why wedding photos are so precious. For many of us, it’s the first and last time in our lives we get photos taken by a professional. And beauty photography always seems like an exclusive thing, dedicated to certain shapes and body types. We don’t even realize what we lose because it seems like something that isn’t for everyone.
